Injector Gone Bad
So many customers at my shop will say: "It was fine yesterday, it just started doing it".
And I say: "I understand, I was feeling great yesterday, but I woke up this morning with a terrible back ache". I then ad: "I'll have to diagnose your car to find the problem". "It's like going to the doctor, and he says you need to have some tests done". "I need to perform some tests, its $75." Well, my Supra did it to me. A cylinder quit working. #5 as it turns out. The fuel injector took a shit. Its not a difficult job, about 1-2hrs, but the weather sucks right now, and my back hurts alot. Fortunately I have my new Mercedes to drive. I will fix the Supra in a week or 2. I'll update this thread after its done, to let you know if there are insites to help you.

Happy Days Again
Well, it took 1.5hrs to change out the #5 injector, replace all the other injector's seals, the ignition wires, spark plugs, cap, & rotor.
Runs perfect again ! Yippy Ki Yea

I don't think I could have done it that fast.
I was thinking 2/3 for myself. |
