Give your parents the keys back to their car.
You have no business under the hood of such a thing. A search on alternator and belt never crossed through there did it. Research yourself up to speed man. |

Pretty much let u know what u needed to do in the very first reply you got.... if that was not enough... come on man.... i have not come across a manual on removing the alternator other than what is in the TSRM and if u need more help than that..... then everyone here is right and you probably shouldnt touch it.
You really only loosen two bolts. the one on the slide piece and the one on the mounting bracket after that the alternator will drop and u have more than enough slack to remove the belt.... MK3 TSRM On-Line

Thanks for the links... I was able to replace it myself last night... I read the 1st reply and did it to precision.
Just rude comments are not really the way to go on these forums. I understand the whole search deal... I was just hoping it'd be faster that the veterans who have been here long enough would kindly link me, I mean people either have it on their favorites or bookmark. But yea, whatevs to you rude folks out there. Thanks again for link... it will help me in the near future. |
