Fix the leaking master cylinder and bleed the system first. Then check all your motor mounts and tranny mount and make sure your shifter is not interfering with anythhing in the interior and is all tight. If its hitting the center consle plastic thing underneath it might not be going into gear fully

If it's worth noting anything, before it started to do it somebody asked me if it was a standard or not and i shook the shifter pretty good left to right not in any gears while the car was off. The times when it won't go into first it feels like first isn't even there, like it just feels like i'm pushing into nothing, and the tranny just makes noise as i let the clutch go.
From what i told does it sounds like a bad clutch something or master cylinder or a blown up tranny? I Just bought the car 3 weeks ago and the tranny shifts so smooth and was babied most of it's life. Thanks |

id pull the shifter out and inspect it, sounds like the bushing could be causing some sort of problem. When you say it pops out, do you mean if you hold the shifter it will stay in gear or it doesnt engage at all in the first place

I never tried holding it in, but it just seems like it's not going into first all the way, but if i pump the clutch 3-4 times it normally will go into first gear and stay in. I'm pretty sure there is air in the line, i'm bleeding the line this afternoon. All the other gears seem a little harder to get into as well. I love the help keep it coming.

master cylinder or slave cylinder hopefully.
If not, the clutch is hydraulic. That's the next stop for me. |

first gear syncro is fucked. Took it to a tranny shop, they said it was done. WOW 2000rpm downshift from second to first fucked my syncro woooo. Anyways, i got a new tranny for 300 bucks opened it up, it looks good, it's going in next week.

a single shift shouldnt damage it that much, most synchros wear gradually, so repeated downshifts to first at high speeds would cause that but a single shift shouldnt
