questions of using an w58 instead of turbo auto?
the drive shaft for the turbo and na supra 5speeds i know are different but has anyone used the na driveshaft in a turbo app and if so how was it done

ive done it
u just gota replace half of the shaft with the turbo one to the n/a. i forgot if its the back or the front part, it wokred aite. but make sure you put on a good clutch. stock one wont handle it. ull regret. i do. my advise would be to go with the r154. much stronger and u can beet it.

ya the w58 wont last long on a turbo model if you are planning to mod for more power

if your worring about getting it on the road and running, why not just use the auto untill you can get a r154 and other parts?

the auto costs 1350 to rebuild so i found it was cheaper to swap

you can get used ones for like 200 bucks in good condition.
that is, unless your making over 300 ish whp/tq, whereas you need a tranny cooler or a built tranny.

wow, so instead of just getting another working auto, you decide to risk putting in a tranny that is likely to fall apart under that torque? well your money

i wasn't able to find a good turbo automatic around me so i did the w58 this car really isn't getting floored right now anyway
