Hello
Just bought my first Supra, a 1986.5 N/A auto. It has 193k on the clock, 9k on a new engine. Just wanted to say hello. I am also a member of the MR2 board, as I own a 91T that is currently in need of work.

Sweet. Welcome.
Got Pics??? I have a 91 n/a 5 speed. walbro fuel pump. msd blaster coil. ngk iridiums. msd 8.5 wires. AC delete. rear seat delete. rear stereo system delete. Have any of you seen how heavy those worthless things are?? arp studs. hks 2.mm stopper mhg. jic rear strut tower bar. the front is still being sought after. new fan shroud. new hoses. new starter ,alternator, water pump. CF hood. Red top optima battery. I have eibach springs and tokico shocks awaiting install. I still have a few things to do to the car. I'm running a 16 inch dual tip glass pack right now. I have a borla xs pro street muffler. I'm researching headers and pipes. My power steering pump is also leaking. I also have to reinstall a back hatch glass. I'm also chasing down a farse about toyota tundra brakes being an upgrade for supras. And I have yet to resolve the infamous cold air intake debacle. But she's running finally. And she's salty. Big fan of those old school mr2's. Last edited by supramacist; 04-21-2008 at 03:20 AM. |

Hello
I just thought I would say hello to you too. This is my first supra. But I have had many hondas and mustangs and camaros, even a few old trucks to play with. My supra is actually a 89 na 5 speed. Pretty much stock. Im in process of building it but It is coming along slow. My daily driver is a 2000 millenia (supercharged). Its pretty fun too play with. I will have pics up soon I HOPE!!!!!!!!

Well, normally I'd just say welcome to hell... but if there really are only 9K on the engine (which I HIGHLY doubt is new, but most likely a rebuild) then you're probably going to be just fine for some time still. Unless it was built to factory specs and you're planning on just slapping on the mods.
I've got a '88 N/A... nothing special. hehe. I used to own a '93 MR2 Turbo... loved that car. So much fun, but just too damned small for my only car and couldn't really afford two cars at the time. I keep thinking I'm going to get another sometime soon. Anyway, welcome to the forum! |

You are always down playing your supra man.
I'm laughing here. But we need to get these new people to understand that they should sell there cars to us cheap. And get out while they can. I'll move to colorado and we'll become the largest online reman parts shop. We'll have a supra grave yard with a river running through it so we can trout and salmon fish in the off season. |

I'm completely game... except that Colorado is perhaps one of the thinnest states when it comes to MKIII's. Makes getting used parts a pain... so I've just started using GM parts. It's sooooo much easier that way.
I'm down for the fishing, just get yer ass up here. |
