high idle
89 na manual. I have a high idle problem. I jumped te1 and e1, timed it, (set at 10btdc) but I know with the idle being high its not timed correctly, can I manually turn down the idle?

You're barking up the wrong tree looking at the timing for an answer to your idle. The idle won't change due to the timing by much at all unless the timing is WAY off.
Start with the TPS. |

I just got the car back together after a bhg, started it, and timed it for the first time. I know the timing wouldn't be the idle issue. seems like the 7m is known for tps problems, I'll start there, thanks

All 20yo TPS have problems. It's a wear component and should be replaced when it no longer provides stable results... the same goes for the VAF that the N/A uses to meter the air flow.
