A/C removal? Pros? Cons?
Is it worth it to remove the A/C? What are the pros and cons? Besides not having A/C lol. And if I do leave it in how much does it cost to get charged? I believe it is R-12 right?

Cons. Your shite gets warm.
Pro's. All I can say is that this was the best mod I have done to my car and it didn't cost me a dime. Any and every little thing you can do to your car shows. |

About an hour after you get started. You'll be significantly lighter and without the ac shit. I swore the nose rose up. Which could go either way. It's a gray area. It has yet to be an issue. I stand by it being the best mod I have done. But it's not 120* out yet either. |

You have to get some toidy tissue and fold it up into a manpon and part the beef cheecks and slip that bad boy in and walk it out.
Hope this helps. I am one of those people that flips the ac off when it's time to hit the peddle. So I never really use it unless I'm with the family. You have made up your mind H8's It's quite easy to tell so just do it. The caps that you'll unplug from the fire wall on the exhaust side of the bay have to be kept. You have to seal off those ports. This is kind of ghetto but what I did was cut the ends with a dremel or hack saw. Smooth them. Leave about an inch and a half of the line and fill it with rtv until you can get hold of some caps at lowes or someplace. Don't go messing with any of that for a few days till it sets up. I've eliminated the ace on my 7mge. is their anything in the wiring that has to be by passed or eliminated in order to make the engine turn over? above its been stated to get the caps for the end of the wires. haven't cut those their wire ends and connectors so they are all still intact. in the end I'm just not getting power to my starter, just trouble shooting looking for help.
thanks |
