hi. my name is Mohammed and im new to this form.....ive always loved supras espicialy the MKIV one but after i looked at how much they cost...i thought of downsizing my expectations a little and i found out about the MKIII which isnt to bad but still is a Supra......i wated some advice or a few opinions on if i should buy this 1987 white NA supra thats sitting at this lot ,,,,,,the engine is not in the car but sitting on the floor next to it...dunno if its running but in the car there alot of new parts for the cars..pistons..headers and etc..so im guesing it needs a rebuild the guy who owns it agreed to sell it to me for $1500 cash with all the new parts but i have to install engine back in it...and i dunno if its hard or not so i wanted an experienced viewers opiion if i should get...thanx and please help me pick the right decision becuz i have hi hopes for this car....by the way it has 146,000 miles....thanx -Mo

yeah the car should be in damn good shape if you have to put the motor back in for 1500, i mean i got an 87 N/a blown engine for 300, and it isn't in that bad of shape.

that kind of seems like alot, that motor is out for a reason. If you know how to do it, you might want to pull the head off, shouldent be to hard if its on the ground, and make shure the motor is not cooked, and the head is not cracked
if the guy that is selling it says you cant crack into the engine then i would not buy it. good luck |
