Supra wont start.
Hi, i?m new to supras and i have a problem with it.
When i turn the ignition key, all that happens is a click from the trunk or somewhere around that area. The starter/solenoid does?nt sound. My antitheft system seams to be dead. I want to remove it but dont know how to remove the carpet without damaging anything. You will have to excuse me for my crappy english, im from sweden. /Fredde |

try to start it in another hour. if it works, post back here...its the wire going to the starter.
if it doesnt, and it doesnt work at all over the next day or so, you can either push start it like ratiug said, or its your starter/solenoid.

hi.
I?ve discovered that the original anti theft system is disabled, someone has put an aftermarket Gemini alarm in it. Wich ofcourse doesnt work at all. I took the covers under the dash off becouse i thought i could see where the alarm cuts ignition and fuel but no succes. I managed to get the starter going, so now the enginge cranks. But no spark or fuel. The other cables is just hooked on to a few cables, i cant figure this out. Can i get the fuelsystem and ignition system powered just to see that it fires up? It would be perfect to feed ignition/fuel straight from the battery with 2 hidden switches somewhere. I would be really happy if anyone can help me solve this! /Fredrik |

Check your fusible links in the fuse box on the left hand side of the engine compartment behind the battery. The 30A provides power to the EFI and IGN systems, and check the EFI fuse there also, the IGN fuse is in the left kick panel.

The car is running now, i uninstalled the complete alarm system.
But ofcourse i have new problems. The car is running really bad, it revs slowly and it is really weak. It gets really hot when i drive it. Can all these symptoms come from bad ignition cords? Couse they look really bad. /Fredrik |

check to make sure you have enough coolant in your radiator, and in your overflow tank.
while your at it...check your oil to see that you have enough, and make sure your oil looks normal. as for the loss in power, it could be a lot of things. check your engine codes, if theres something there it could narrow the problem down.
