Suspension Chirp?
Anyone else had this. It is a high pitched quick chirp, you can hear for a split second. Only when I go over repeated bumps such as railroad tracks. Kinda like a chain noise, or a loose nut and the washer jumps real quick. (idk its hard as hell to explain a noise in text) Bro said a vast amount of reasons. Bushings, old struts, needs a grease down ect ect. I was just thinking struts gotten old, and the quick up and down on the suspension caused a chirp noise.
Another thing, car vibrates horribly on highway. Now what im 99% sure it is, is this. My brakes locked up one day and now my rotors are warped, and you can hear the pads scuff the rotor a certain point when you coast. Jacked up car and spun the front tires and they would drag/scuff only at a certain point on the disc. I am about to change them over the weekend. Just wanted to know if yall agree with me. (I mean vibrates!, lol the damn stick shakes like hell and the steering wheel shakes like hell)

Whatever medication it is that you have been skipping.
STOP. You're just gunning for crap and being paranoid. Chillout. The brakes...., that's another story. Be all a.d.d. about them and let that other noise go. |

Oh thats nice. Since the last time I ignored a "little noise" on my old truck, my lower ball joint broke and bent the upper one so my tire sat at 45 degree angle and almost detatched itself from the car. All while I was driving down a two lane road and could of slammed into a tree at 30mph. All because I ignored a little quick squeak I heard every now and then.
So yes im going to be ADD about it. Im not having a repeat, especially since I put alot of highway miles.

Then you should take it somewhere and have them tweak it.
Suspensions make small noices all of the time. You do have 3k lbs. riding on all of it. All you can do is have someone look at it that knows. Chances are it's nothing but it could be the rack or something. I think if you had a real issue you would know it. Because you would have been walking home after you heard a chirp followed by smoke through the dash and out from the hood. Those pesky trees took out sonny bono. I wonder how much time he spent underneath his skis. I never said ignore it mannnn. But if you only heard it once. You have nothing to worry about if you're 1. still driving or 2. you have yet to distinguish a pattern that leads to an issue. You heard some shite pop. That's normal. Now, if it keeps happening. If I'm missing ssomething I'm sorry. Was really my point. |

Yea, Im just trying to be safe. It could just be as simple as hitting everthing with some spray grease. I was just going to tackle it in a price range interval, hitting some simple stuff first, then all the way up to replacing parts.
Im going to have a check around when I take off the brake disc and maybe hit everything with some new grease. Suspension noises' is one thing I wait until I have no choice because either lack of equipment or simply its over my head, before I take it to a shop. SOOO many mis-diagnosis from those guys. I see them ripping off people all the time (especially people that dont even know how to check thier oil IE my sister) Next thing you know your dropping $500 parts and labor, then come a few weeks noise is back. Cross my fingers I dont have to take it But then again thats just my "opinion"

I have heard a similar suspension noise before, I'm no suspension expert but it sounds to me like it was coming from the control arm bushings. I've heard it before when I go over some of the bumps in my father's driveway, I wouldn't worry to much about it unless you start hearing it when driving down the road.
