well, my TPS has been cracked and thus not working correctly since i bought my supra a week ago, and i finally ordered a replacement today. (cost me $108
![]() Anyway, it turns out the PO of my car (who apparently has the IQ of a retarded pebble... so many stupid things done to this car) had, rather than replace the TPS to fix the idle issue, turned the Idle screw ALL THE WAY IN. it still idles around 1000-900 no less. ![]() Basically, I need to know where that screw should be set so that I can set my new TPS where it needs to be when it comes. can anybody help? |

just back it out some and do the tps, then screw it in however far it needs to be (after fully warmed and idleing) to idle around 750-800 rpm. Ive found that the ISCV has a pretty wide range of positions and can adjust for some minor changes

I was basically wondering if anyone knew about where the screw should sit in its sleeve thing, just so i have a rough starting point. |

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
This is going to throw your entire engine off. It's not as lite as you seem to making it. This could cost you a week of tunning if you aren't careful. Last edited by supramacist; 05-07-2008 at 05:31 AM. |
