Default Maybe someone can help me here.

I remove all the appropriate items to expose the timing belt.

Now..., flashing back I had just installed a new dashpot onto the tps.

So I'm throwing code 51. I clear it. Time it and it's still funky so I strip it.

With my crank at tdc. My cams are reading 180* out.

I have yet to do much research because I just left the garage. I wanted to ask this Q. Before I even get to where I need to be to research it this evening.

How does this happen and how do I correct it.

I have not been here before and I know I can't just turn the cams without turning everything with out removing the head.

I know I can ghetto it and swap plugs on the dist cap but that is shady as well and isn't the required fix.

Thanks for reading. Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

If your t-belt is off some teeth, or alot, the ONLY thing to do is set it all up correctly.

Then the dist. (or CPS) needs to be plugged in right. Then the plug wires. No way aroung this.

I was trying to avoid taking the plenum and starter and crank pulley off.

I sat down last night and it hit me.

Which stroke am I on?? That thing may just be off 1 revolution. Being as it's on the wrong stroke so I spun it and it all lined up.

I straight panic'd yesterday when I sent this because it was poor timing.
I didn't have time to think and had a list of things to do in front of me.

I should have thought about it a bit more before I even posted.

My bad.
