I remove all the appropriate items to expose the timing belt.
Now..., flashing back I had just installed a new dashpot onto the tps. So I'm throwing code 51. I clear it. Time it and it's still funky so I strip it. With my crank at tdc. My cams are reading 180* out. I have yet to do much research because I just left the garage. I wanted to ask this Q. Before I even get to where I need to be to research it this evening. How does this happen and how do I correct it. I have not been here before and I know I can't just turn the cams without turning everything with out removing the head. I know I can ghetto it and swap plugs on the dist cap but that is shady as well and isn't the required fix. Thanks for reading. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. |
