messed up problem

hey everyone, Im new here..just purchased a 86.5 supra...its the 7mge engine non turbo 5spd its got 270 k but it doesnot leak or smoke or anything just a tiny problem...for example i will wake up in the morning my car will be really cold,,and it will run amazing then after about 10 minuts of driving the tone of my car just goes from loud deep... to choppy sounding and i loose alot of power...its terrible..i gave it a tune up and still no change..what can it be....? I also took out my caty convert and resonater..can this be the problem?

please help me
