Default bad sensor???

well 1st off hello! I am Russ, Finally got the last car on my list, a 89 Supra Turbo....

picked up the car, has a few issues, but the main 2 can be fixed with maybe the same sensor? thats why i am here, to ask the experts..

So. the cel is on, and in order to get the car to start i have to floor it and it will start right up, if i crank then push the gas it will flood, so i have to floor it crank starts right up...then runs fine idles great runs great, (other then hair dryer effect...but get into that later). so any ideas? i need this fixed asap! because of emissions. it is really bothering me cause i just spent like the last hour trying to get it to start and killed the batt, and waiting for my brother to come and jump me.

I am told that it has a brand new fuel pump, tps, and fuel filter. This is my first Supra, so i dont know anything about them yet. Could it be an Idle Air Control Valve? i was going to run the dtc tester but it wont hook up to the opd2 tester we have at work, please help!

Mk3 Supra TSRM (Toyota Supra Repair Manual) Links/Downloads

Shops use the same dang books I'm sending you.

You don't need a shop. You need to read and research and ask us here as best you can in as much detail and we'll try to help.

I do what I can when I can do it.

EDIT: Welcome to the forum.
