Is there any difference between 7MTGE and 7MGE head bolts? Where would I buy ARP bolts for 7MGE?
Thanks! |

No difference. Use the moly and follow arp's torque spec of 70lbs.

one more question....
Something was squeaking under hood when bought this car with blown engine. I thought that was a water pump but now I'm not sure because it looks good to me... Do you guys have any ideas? 110,000 mileage Thank you |

I use 3 places mainly.
The dealership. Horsepowerfreaks. Lowes. You don't need the sst tool. You can accomplish your goal without it and if you're still waiting to find the sst tool you could have already had your head back. |

Guys,
What socket do I have to use with ARP bolts? My current 14 doesn't hold more than 60ft/lbs.Maybe I need better quality socket.... Thank you! Last edited by Serge; 07-18-2008 at 07:00 AM. |

ARP studs/bolts are made in the US, I think your find they are imperial (inch) use a 9/16 long reach socket with a 3/8 drive, if your torque wrench is 1/2 use an adaptor. Thread size is 12 mm x 1.25 just in case you need to clean out the holes in the bock, which I recommend you do.

Thanks Bill. It's done now with 90ft/lbs.
I have a next question. How properly to clean the cold start injector? It's dirty and I would like to clean it up. |

Okay,
The engine is working already...Do I have to replace catalutic after the running of this supra with blown gasket? How would I figure it out? (mileage 111000miles) Thank you! |
