Water temp gauge dead
Hello
My water temp gauge is not working, just shows minimum temp all the time, Where is the sensor for this? i havent found any info on it. My car runs really bad, is the ecu using the same sensor as the gauge? /Fredde |

The wires for the temp sensor run across right behind the cam gears. When I last had my valve cover off I had moved the wires and disturbed them, so when I finished and started driving, I would accelerate the temp gauge would drop. So be sure to check the wires as well as the sensor.
I think the only thing the ecu uses the temp sensor for is the warm up cycle. Hope this helped as well. |

Had same problem here. just replacing the sensor solved it for me.
But like he said carful with the wires. Slightest mis-handle will cause it to not work also. ( I had that too, after I replaced the sensor. ) Good thing to check also, check the sender's too had to replace em' too.
