Burton's supra is fucking beautiful...
Supra Stock - a set on Flickr Here is my supra, Just got it. Interior is about the best you will find on a supra (except the steering wheel and top of back seats). Exterior leaves some to be desired, will be getting body work done by the end of the summer. What I will be doing to this supra: Speakers (previous owner kept them) Paint, Hopefully red, if not black Fix Trim on sides FIX DUCT TAPE ON AIR FILTER New steering wheel Reupholster back seats Fix front drivers door lock (works great, but missing the door keeping dust out) Fix illumination warning light, right now the detector is just unplugged Rid rims of brake dust (Any ideas?) New muffler/exhaust system What else do you think needs to be done? This is my FIRST car so this work will be done slowly as I have little money (I am 16) I have loved supras for a long time and they are pretty rare in my area Lakeville MA, (south coast of boston). The car may not be the best supra, but it is a great feeling driving around in it, looking as bad as the exterior does, and still turning heads. One annoying thing however is: Me: "I drive a supra" Friend: "Really!!!?? What Year? Me: 1988, mark 3 Friend: "oh..." Last edited by TomFraser; 06-10-2008 at 04:53 PM. |

My Supra
This is my 86.5 n/a 5speed supra, i havent done anything to it yet, but my friend who i bought it from did what i listed below. I bought it from a friend for $300 cause he was movin n i couldnt pass it up. Hopfully getting a motor here in the next week or so. My friend got it from some ass who told him he put a new clutch in it and the motor ended up throwing a rod cause the guy used clear silicon for selant on the oil pan and it clogged the oil pump(Yah what a dumbass). So my friend lost his ass on the car since he had to move and never got to do the 1j swap he planned. And it ended up the clutch wasnt even new.
The only modifications are: Exhaust: Dual 2 1/2 inch from down pipe back, yes that is 5 inches of free flow no cats or mufflers loud as hell too. Suspension: Eibach Springs Pro Kit So hopfully i can get a motor here soon and start working on it, i plan on doing a 7m-ge to 7m-gte swap or a na-t conversion probably the swap. But i figured i would post this up cause this is my car and you all wanted cars os here you go, ill try to keep it updated. When i figure out how to put more pics up i will get more up here.

Those wheels look familiar! My current use of this car is to learn about cars and go fast on road courses. The fun part is trying to get this 20 year old car faster than the new stuff out there. Would be cheaper to just go buy an STi or EVO but not as much fun or satisfaction. NOTE: The license plate play-on-words can be taken many ways. 'Anti-EVO Toyota", "Devolved Toyota", "Devoted to Toyota", or just simply a fun car with a little tongue-in-cheek..."DEVO toy". (Actually was a DEVO Spudboy inspiration but I'll go with anything or not.) 1988 Toyota Turbo Supra – (7M-GTE) Manual trans I am original owner. Purchased in California November 1987. Remained stock until the summer of 2006 and 68,000 original miles. Currently 72,000 original miles.
