Gas Gauge broken
don't know what wrong with it any help??
|
I'm not sure if there is a fuse for it but thats where I would look first, a good friend of mine in his Rodeo took two weeks of hard work and waiting for parts to get his tank down, get the old sending unit out, put the new unit in, and finally getting the tank back up. In the end it was just a fuse that blew.
If that comes to no avail, then I think you can get to the sending unit through the hatch. I haven't had to do anything with the fuel tank in my car so far so I'm not so sure if you can get to it through there. Hope this helps, good luck! Edit: The TSRM says to drop the tank to access the fuel pump, so I guess you will have to drop the tank if you need to replace the sending unit. |
Jesus these cars never stop breaking.
I'm either going to fix mine and sell it. Or part this thing out. It's such a never ending process and when you think you're almost finished. KABOOM. Square 1. For the umpteenth time. |
The sending unit is separate from the fuel pump! There is an access panel for it under the trunk floor and you can remove the entire thing and test it and even fix it without dropping the tank! There is an article on fixing an inconsistent gas gauge on sogi.
