Start doing some research on 1JZ harness and computers, compared to your pre 89 harness. All the info you need is out there, my advice would be to do a lot of research before you start tearing stuff down, that way you have all the knowledge about what you are doing before you do it. You can buy engine mount adapter for your pre 89 that will allow the JZ engines to bolt up with your cross member, I my self would not completely trust the engine mounts without the 89+ cross member.
