Default What Shocks Should I Look Into?

Hi all, I'm going to be refurbishing my front steering and suspension soon, I plan is to replace everything I can with a $1500 budget. I drive about 100 miles a day, through lots of hills and curvy roads at highway speeds, and I have almost reached the limits of the stock 200k mile suspension. Right now I'm looking into shocks ans springs, so I'm considering Bilstein shocks and RS*R lowering springs.

Does anyone here have any after market shocks and springs? If so how do you like them?

It depends on what you want in shocks and how much cheese you can squeeze .

Tokico illumina II's are tems capable. Tokico blues are not.

Koni's are high dollar and adjustable. But for that price you may as well look into some mid grade coil overs. Last time I priced koni's I was looking at 1k per pair.

Something somewhere around the 500$ range should compliment your wheels nicely.

Koni expensive? This is what you are talking about right:

Shocks for the Toyota Supra MK3

If thats it there not that bad, I do like the ability to adjust them, I think I may go for them.

By the way, my car doesn't have TEMS so no worrys there. Thanks for the advice.

Those are them. I couldn't touch them for that last year.
I think the guy I had been using at hpf was off his nut a bit.

The tokico blues would work well for you also. I hear alot more feed back on that product than the koni's.

You should try and find someone running them and see what they think.

Yea I have had a few difficult times at HPF, sometimes there on the ball and have the best prices, other times they just suck. lol.

I just read a short review of the RS*R springs and the Tokico Blues, they said the Blues are to soft and blow in less than a year. Theres no way of knowing if they installed the springs correctly, so this could be right or wrong. So I think I will hit up some Konis.

i've had my eibach with tokico blues for over a year and they are a good combination. have had no problems whatsoever with the tokico's

The only problem I had with my blues was that I oredered Illumina II's.

That being said. I had to sell the blues because hpf wouldn't even cut me a credit for what I originally spent on them and could sell them for more close to what I gave.

since its your everyday driver, i personally wouldnt get rsr springs. if i remember correctly, they lower your car more than eibachs would. so for practical purposes i'd go with eibachs

Actually, the Eibachs lower 1.5" in front and 1" in rear, the RS*S that I found lower 1.3" in front and .7" in rear. Thats the only reason I chose them, because I don't want to lower it very much. Thanks though.
