Ok, supra2nr, that thing about the corvette struggling is the worst statement ever. look up things before you post like that. The corvette being my favorite car, I stand for it and know a lot about. The corvette is one of the best selling cars of all time. Right now they are selling more of the c6 per time basis than any corvette in history. Sure, It can be beat, But not for the price. Where are you going to get a car with 505hp(zo6) and all of its impressive track times and creature comforts for 70k$? The corvette is far from struggling...It always has been a successful car, Except for maybe when it was introduced in 1953.... And as for your car, It has plenty of weight on the rear wheels. I would worry about traction that much unless your starting to put out some more hps. The rear of the car with that big hatchback and all is pretty heavy. If you have traction problems, Get better tires. They made the mk3 heavier because they were trying to appeal to older richer people that want sports cars, Not kid racers like we want them to be. So they tried to make them nice and smooth riding and very stable feeling. And all this added a lot of weight of course. If your that conscious about it, Sell it and get an rx7 or porsche 944 or the like. Both are under 2900lbs and are available in turbo models...so there fast too.

A freind I work with over here has a 50th anniversery vette that on his last vacation put in a set of AFR heads with Manley titanium valves comp cams double beehive springs a larger throttle body and air intake and the car dynoed at 420 some odd HP and he gets over 30 MPG on the freeway!!! My mother in laws 4 banger cobalt only gets about 27.5 for gods sake. Those stas are with AC. Vettes are defenitley not left behind.

And i forgot to mention the zo6 is putting out 488-490 hp at the wheels from the box. Chevy seems to do this with a lot of cars...

Back to the topic, you can remove the charcoal canister and use a vented gas cap as well not much but every little thing counts.

I just took the charcoal canister out and hooked the line up to a vaccum port with an inline fuel filter(rc car type). Doesnt seem to affect anything. I love the supras....I wish they didnt have to make them so dam heavy. I would honestly say there isnt much weight you can get rid of without sacraficing something. What you can do is make use of all the extra metal and weld everything inside the car...Any seam you see. Which would require you taking the whole car apart...But that and some Beefed up susepnsion parts and good shocks and springs and you have a very stiff and stable car. I was wondering...Does anyone know the weight balance of a the stock mk3? And i dont mean like factory ratings, someone getting the car weighed persoanlly. I know at e-town they give you a free weigh in with f/r and total weight. And like dry...no passengers or gas. I know they advertised the rx7 as being perfect 50/50 with 2 passengers and a full tank of gas, But that doesnt count.
