getting to the crankshaft
Hi.
I began to take down the engine from my supra, in the quest to put some new bearings on the crankshaft and do some mahining on it. Along the way are ome gaskets.... So my question is that: What gaskets should I use. Do you know of a brand that has quality qaskets? Or are the stock ok? And I am not talking here about the HG. That is a well studied matter. I am talking about the gasket to the oxigen sensor for example. Any advice for the way? Thanks.

If you only need a handful of gaskets.
Go to the dealership. That way you can just get the ones required instead of a kit that has a bunch of crap gaskets that you won't use all of. Stay away from those cardboard paper gaskets. Permatex copper coating is the shizzle also. Coat the gaskets with that front and back. You'll blow a new hg before those bad boys give way. So long as you don't get any solvent type liquids on them. And if you do. No worries because you used oem replacement parts from the dealership. |

How can you say felpro are good gaskets when for 12$ you can get the entire upper intake set for 12$????
They'll work if you use permatex copper. You guys need to learn to go with toyota OEM and except no substitutes. Unless you do you will never get off these forums to actually DRIVE your car. |

So... I was thinking to get my intercooler cleaned up as well, but I have a problem... I don`t know how to get it out of the engine bay.
I looked it up in the TSRM but I haven`t find anything on this subject. Can anyone help me? Also, do you know if there are aftermarket intercooler hoses out there for our cars? Thanks.

Sooo...
The engine is out, the transmision as well. So I have looked at the clutch and I idn`t like what I saw. It has to go, so I an thinking a new racing clutch, and maybe a light weight flyweel. The question is witch one would you recomend? What make and what model. Did you get one? How was it for you? What should I change also at this time? Thanks.

I believe one is for egr and the other is for the fuel pressure regulator.
