Pricing ?
Hey if i was to sell my supra what would you recommend a price?
Its a 1990 Toyota Supra n/a with 172,000 the only prob is that it doesnt go over 20, might be a vacuum leak, or to much oil in the intake manifold, cuz its runnin super rich. oh the int is leather but its all cracked and gone to crap. but besides that the int. is pretty decent. id just like to know because im going into the air force and i dont have time for this car to be a project car... |
1k if you really want to sell it. And probably more like 800$.
The most you can get if you're lucky is 3k. |
thanks. ya im still indecisive about it. my buddy will be contacting me tommorrow and then after that ill be able to see if im sellin it.
|
It sounds like you have a small handfull of minor problems.
You haven't lost any money if you don't sell it. Grind it out and drive the rat spit out of it. Atleast if you blow it up. You got to enjoy it for a while and who knows. It may run another 100k miles. Ofcourse it may cost you no telling how much to get her squared away. |
lol thats true. well im gonna see if i can fix the prob with it not going over 20 right now. but like i said thanks again.

Black smoke indicates unburned fuel. A very rich condition. (and you must be rich if you can waste fuel like that) I had to throw a funny in !!!
You likely have a plugged exhaust. Cat converter. Disconnect the pipe at the header and see if it runs better. You won't get much for a car that won't run well, and makes the buying think its just a major project car, or parts car. As for getting $3k, never happen. I will soon be selling my 1989 n/a, READY now to drive across country on a hot summer (or cold winter) day, for $5k |
ok so i did take the cat off and it runs way better! the cat is completely clogged, i put water in there after i took it off and it barely drains.
so the new ? instead of starting a new thread is where to get a cat? im gonna check ebay first. |
Supra store has a high flow one that should fit a stock exhaust for about 100 bucks, but its a weld in. They have bolt on ones but they're only for 3" exhausts.
High Flow CAT |
id suggest just getting an aftermarket exhaust
|
i just knocked all the stuff that was in the cat out. the honeycomb stuff....and i will get an aftermarket exhaust but thats gonna have to wait. i have to actually get the car on the road first.
