capped metal coolant line?????

i have an 1987 7m-gte just bought last week. in the back of the engine on passenger side by the firewall there are 2 coolant lines running underneath the turbo manifold, one goes to the top center back of the head and the other branches off towards the front fender. but mine has a 3/4" jerry-rigged rubber cap from a chair leg clamped on the end of it. it sprung a leak!!!!!! where does it go? whats missing? i have no idea, ive been dreaming of a supra turbo for 10 yrs. i have one now and cant leave my driveway, please help!!!!! thank you......chris

This is a factory cap. I don't know why they did it, but the turbos and NAs all have this cap. Your Toyota dealer can order a replacement.

i found a heavy duty rubber cap that i had in my toolbox i dont know what it came off of but im sure you could find something at a parts store and just put a hose clamp on it and havent had any problems since i know its not much of a piece but im sure if you were to go to the dealer they would rape you for it

That cap is for right hand drive cars.
