Default Body Flex - Targa

Ok, so I take the Targa roof panel off, drive off and the rear end shakes like a belly dancer. Is this normal? Did these cars do this when they were new? Is there a fix? I did a "search" on this site and there's very little info.

Any suggestions?

Well, I know that with the top on these cars are decently rigid. When you take the top off, that rigidity disappears.

I pretty much always drive mine with the top off, and I haven't really noticed much shaking in the rear. However, I rarely get to drive it before it's off the road for another fix....

Just curious, does the rear clunk when you drive sometimes? And, does it have a single piece drive shaft?

Mine doesn't shake in the rear but i have noticed that when going over speedbumps and bad roads you can see the whole car flexes a bit.

I could definitely feel the difference in mine when I take the top off, but nothing that crazy. There is a crossbar from Cusco, I believe. It's called an RXB bar. Makes the car feel like the top is on all the time.

the top acts like a support so if you take that off your taking away its structure a roll bar would sure fix that but id say its normal

I agree. I get used to it after awhile, though.
