Newbie Questions
 

I havent found any answers yet to some questions I have... and I will continue looking afterwards as well in other areas but you guys seem to have the best knowledge I have found.

First.. I will point out... I love supras, always have but could never justify buying them as we have 6 kids. Now that only 3 are left at home.. I nabbed a 1988 Turbo 5 speed. I dont worry about "cheap solutions" only correct ones..cause after all.. thats the cheapest way in the end.

I need to know:
1. The steering wheel is old... but it has cruise control on it. Can it be repaired or replaced? Or am I looking at aftermarket.
2. The air conditioning is depleted, and in my 1988 Cresseda I was told I could not recharge it (by a Toyota dealership) without replacing all the lines as the new coolant has a smaller molecular size and will leak. Can a refrigeration guy do this? or are there any kits available?
3. The car has some problems with the power window crossover (driver side to pass). Is this a "cleaning" fix on the buttons circuits or do I just replace them?
4. WINDOW TINTING! I was thinking of tinting the rear glass 1 step lighter than the darkest I could possibly go with the side windows 1 step darker than the lightest I could go. Any thoughts on this? I dont see many pictures with tinted glass, so I am not sure if anyone has considered that.

I will post pics of the engine compartment/interior when I get it back so that you can recognize the innards...
