87 Supra Mods
 

I recently purchased an 87 Turbo supra in excellent condition. There are a few minor repairs to be made, but it will be in stock condition in a few days. My wife is encouraging me to beef it up a bit as the local mechanic (supra enthusiast) said he could get me right around another 100 hp for about $200.

I was looking for some info on a preffered list of early stage mods and i dont know where he is getting it all. The car will not be formally raced, but I was thinking:

Cold Air Intake (K&N - any others recomended) ~ 8hp
Fiberglass hood with scoop (any recomendations) ~ 6 hp-engine stays cool
Muffler ~ 15 hp (any recomendation ?)
Downpipe ~ 25-30 hp
Tires (Any suggestions?)
Spark Plugs (recomendations?)

This would bring me up to about 290 hp. What am I missing or what should I take away ?

From those of you who have been down this route (given my suspension, gaskets, breaks are fine) what would you do ?

U Need 3''dp With Full 3''exhaust And 3'' Test Pipe Or High Flow Cat And U Need Boost Guage Boost Controller But U Might Want To Put A Mhg And Arp Studs Frist . Than Turn Boost Up To 10-12psi .oh Yea Add The Other Things In Your List TO and get ngk plugs/wires 255fuelpump

I 4got There Is No Way In Hell He Can Get U 100hp More For 200 Bucks Lol

Thats what I thought - sounded too good to be true.

What about recomendations on the parts I listed. Type of plugs, brand air intake or exhast, ect...
