power steering pump
I noticed what i thought was tranny fluid leaking under the car yesterday.(it was pink in color) then today i get in to drive it and i have no power steering. I was wondering if anyone has ever had their power steering pump go bad. could it cause it to leak or could it possibly be a line leak?
thanks for any help |

One place worth checking apart from any obvious leaks from the rubber hoses, are the rubber rack boots, give them a squeezing to see if any fluid comes out, this would indicate a rack oil seal worn. The rack boots are at the end of the steering rack (both sides) where the track rod ends stick out. Black concertina rubber tube about 6 inch long.
