Spark Plug Change

I just purchased new Bosch Platinum 4 plugs and want to install as I was having some issues from a ancient plug. Does anyone have a torque spec for install on a 87 turbo ?

I don't know if those plugs are to be used with our vehicles, but to install plugs use 16mm Plug Wrench and torque to 13 ft-lb as stated in the TSRM

Im currently using the bosch platium 4 plugs and I like them there is something that is messed up with my car before the upgrade but I did noticed a definate hp increase. I also got some ngk wires and those also help alot.

A little late but I'm pretty sure you don't want to use platinum plugs in the turbo supra. Apparantly they burn TOO hot. This is just what i've been told from a few reliable resources

Yea, I would never run any Bosch plugs in a Supra of any kind, go for some NGK Iridiums, they will be a little more expensive but well worth it, they are high quality plugs. I don't have Iridiums but I have their regular plugs and set of their wires, they are both great!!

Good luck.

Be very careful with Iridiums. The slide gappers will damage them as they are soft. (that's the warning I had with them) But definitely go with Iridiums.

Are iridiums OK for NA Supras?

Yea, the NA will run them nicely.

What about the E3's with diamond fire technology? Im not sure since I have not looked them up for the supra, but what I was told from a friend that races old school muscle, they work like a charm and have really nice power increases. e3sparkplugs

Update: They do have them for all years/models for the Supra. Interesting comparison that the series "Horsepower" did between the E3's and I'm not sure of the other brand.

Im not an expert, but I believe that platinum spark plugs will perform as well as E3's, so the E3 should be ok for a Supra, however, I dont know if they will outperform the Iridiums...
