Oil leak
 

I just purchased a 1989 turbo supra. When I bought it, it had a oil leak in the front end somewhere. I thought it was the front main or crankshaft seal, upon closer inspection it does not appear to be leaking from under the pully like it normally does. I think, looking closer under the hood, it is probaly a oil cooler line. It appears to be coing form the drivers side, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a problem area that I might start with, something that is notoriously known to leak. Just wanting to speed up the process. Thanks

i dunno if this helps but i had an oil leak and it was on the bottom of the oil cooler. the hole was in the steel line so i bought some longer hose and slid it up past where the hole was. its on the drivers side right next to the rad on my 88 turbo

When your unsure of a leak, park the car on either paper or cardboard. Leave it overnight. Then in the morning... mark where your tires are on the paper/cardboard (so you can judge distance correctly and that will tell you approx. where the leak is. Remember that oil can travel a bit before it drips, especially if the leak is only while running (the air can push it back all along the bottom of the car)
