Change all fluids, engine oil, coolant system, differential oil, transmission fluid, and if you feel up to it, power steering fluid.
Also take the spare tire out and see if there is any water or rust there, if there is then you most likely need some new tail light gaskets, I know my 86.5 needs them, then check the panels on either side of the hatch for rust on the inside of the wheel wells. Also check all the weather stripping, hood, hatch, door and window sills, and if its a targa then the seals on that to. I would get a few cans of WD-40 and give everything a good spray, like behind the panels in the hatch, where the lights for the tails are, under the whole car, some engine components, suspension components and the gas door. I do this regularly to help keep the car going good. There is more, it really never ends, but I hope this helps for now. Good luck. |
