Default starter hookup

Could some one tell me in detail (if you remember) how exactly the starter plugs in? I plugged the brown plug in, and I cant remember how the rest was supposed to go. Does the battery and the other cable both go on the screw right next to the brown plug? or are they supposed to go on different screws?

Theres a copper stud on the opposite side of the starter (in comparison to the bown plug) which the battery cable connects. Connect it anywhere else and watch your wire fry. Make sure your battery ground is unhooked while doing this....

Ok, so the battery wire goes on the stud on the opposite side of the brown plug, and the other wire goes on the stud next to the brown plug?

i dont know which "other wire" you are talking about, can you take a picture? Yes, the battery wire goes on the stud on the side of the starter that you cant see when youre looking at it in the engine bay.

oh ok, but yeah, there's another stud right next to the brown plug, which is where the ground? maybe goes.

besides the brown plug and the battery wire, is there another one that's supposed to go on the starter or not?

i dont know by memory, you need to post a picture of the wire you have extra. Theres no ground wire on the starter, it is grounded through the bellhousing of the transmission.

OK, I think Ive got it figured out, but now I'm left with an extra wire, is there a ground on the intake manifold, on the back of it towards the firewall?
