Default 88 Molding Help

Hi,

I've been reading around here for about 3 hours now looking at every thread I can find that talks about the MkIII door molding, and have come up with 2 different answers.

1. The only place to get it is either used or from the dealership, and it's gonna cost a buttload to get it from the dealershipt

2. I've seen 2 or 3 threads that refer to a new, all-rubber solution, but I've NEVER seen a link or a place to buy.

Basically, my MkIII just had the passenger's side molding fall off, and not just a little bit, even the bolt on the front was rotting off of the metal-backed crap. I'd like to replace it with something all-rubber to avoid this in the future, as this is gonna be my baby and not my daily driver. I plan on painting it next summer, and want to replace ALL of that molding while I'm doing that.

Any help finding a full replacement would be great!

(BTW, I've looked in the trading forum, and people REALLY need to look at the OP date before they ask if parts are still available, who asks for something posted 2 years ago? Honestly!)

Occasionally there is a complete set on ebay.

Good luck.

I had the same problem with mine when i bought it! i went to the junkyard and found a clean 89 with perfect trim/interior/exterior and got everything i needed off that puppy including half the sensors on the motor (they were new!) and a brand new set of cross drilled rotors for the front and back!
Thanks junkyard!!!
