Hose help?
Hey guys... it's been a long time since i've visited but I have a few more questions
 researching a possible bhg on my supra and found some other problems along the way.1. what is the item I circled in blue? just curious. 2. what is the hose called that I circled in red? that way when i'm asking around for a new one I know what to call it (it has a whole in it)

The item in blue is the heater control valve. The open hose attachments are for the heater hose. It runs coolant to the heater core. The other hose is for crankcase ventilation.

In the blue is the water valve diaphram

have your dealership pull up a diagram of the cooling hoses and you can point to the one you need, its pretty specific and you arent going to find a generic hose that will work right

Search for heater hose and you should come up with the page in the link below. http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1990_TOYOTA_SUPRA_MA70L-BLPVZA_8716.html?hl=87245A Toyota Part # 87245-1B251 This is for a left hand drive Supra (NATO US)  The hose connects to the heater water union at the back of the head, part #90401-2204

Wow great reply bill uk.. i'm going to bookmark that site for future use.. And on the topic of the hose I ended up just going with a generic heater hose from kragen cause I live nowhere near a toyota dealership... and it seems to suffice... stopped the leak for sure.
