First I have a few questions for you:
Did you replace the radiator or thermostat? Did you check the water pump or the fan clutch? If you want to check to see if the cams are in line with each other, pop the thermostat housing off and then the cam cover. Next you want to turn the crank to TDC, there are timing marks on the cover behind the crank pulley, and there is a mark on the pulley as well. Align the mark on the pulley to the 0 deg mark on the cover, then look at the cam gears, the three holes on both should be in the same direction, and the upper holes should have a dowel pin in it. If there not perfectly up, then that could cause some ill effects, but I don't think it would cause that. |
