I have been having problems with the oil pressure in my car. Recently i blew out the oil pump and it burned up all my connecting rod bearings, so i have changed all them bought a high flow oil pump, changed to high horsepower oil, and a new oil filter. And after all this i turn my car back on and still no oil pressure... i don't know what to do and i know its not the gauge b/c it worked just fine the day i blew the oil pump.

hmmm... check the connections on the oil pressure sender... if still no joy i would get an aftermarket gauge with sender unit and try that...
when the engine is running lift the oil cap and see if there is oil pressure up top.. if there is i would say that your sender unit may be faulty or something along those lines let me know how you get on

Hi
you said no oil pres now as before. Does it run low press or no press? Before continueing best find out . Does the high press pump need bleeding? Were the mains ok,crank scored, ect. Dont know what all was done so give us a shout with more info? even worn out shells usualy get some press resisting a pump. |
