struts
hello,
Just wondering if i buy some struts online for my 88 supra that say they are for "non tems" will they still fit my car??? i know of course they wont be adjustable, but they are about half the price. thanks:sadwavey: |
Yep, they'll fit, just not adjustable, as you mentioned. Best bang-for-the-buck is probably Tokiko; best OEM style adjustable strut with is probably KONI ($$); Best-of-best is probably HKS Hipermax III coilovers ($$$$$$$$$$). But anything that works is better than blown old TEMS struts.

haha, tell me about it. I pushed down on the back of my supra in june and i just looked out the window and its still bouncing! lol. thanks for the help.
i found Tokico struts (non tems) for about 250 bucks shipped figured that was a decent price. |
Ha! Yup, know what you mean. I gave my almost-new Tokico's to a buddy who had blown TEMS OEM's. Totally transformed his car. He says it's the best money he never spent! lol!
$250 shipped is good! And they're lifetime warranty. The ones I gave my buddy I bought 15 years ago, but had them all replaced under warranty just months before I bought my new HKS coilovers. While I was waiting for the warranty on the Tokicos, I purchased a set of KYB's and slapped them in. From me to you...don't do that. Stiff compression + sloppy rebound = crappy shock. Good luck! |
