Head studs on fresh motor?
Hi all, new to the forums here. I've got an 88 mk3 and I'm having a local baltimore shop(JE Performance) swap out my leaky 7M for a slightly used 1992 7MGTE. I have a few mods such as a full 3in exh. Test pipe, blitz nur spec, down pipe. Other standatds , FPR(aeromotive) 550injectors,lexusMAF, fuel pump. I've talked to the mechanic doing the swap and we're shooting for low 300's for hp on 12psi with an apexi safc. My question is I don't have the cash to get a MHG and have the head resurfaced. Can I safely run these mods and 12psi on the stock gasket but with ARP bolts or would studs make a bigger difference? Any help would be great.
