Limits of the oem rods and oem pisons.....
in the 7mgte??
I have seen a mkIII with forged 8.5-1 pistons and stock rods run 9's in the 1/4 at over 140mph. What are the stock rods good for?? Are they forged like the 2jz rods? I am looking at building a 7mgte for drag racing and my goal is north of 600whp. Can the stock rods take it or should I replace them with forged? Also, I see the forged pistons everywhere for the 7mgte but not rods? A link to some aftermarket rods would be appreciated. |
