I'm pulling things apart to replace my top engine oil seals, and all the tubing is lot's stiffer than the last time I did this (10 years ago . . . no surprise there). After too much struggling I'm about to just start slashing those large diameter hoses connecting the BOV. Before I do that
1. On any other car I'd just cut them off and just use regular heater hose to make replacements. Any problem doing that? 2. I ordered a vacuum tubing set from Hose Techniques. Anybody know if those are included in the kit? That would be nice. 3. My Turbo's been pretty sluggish. Is there a procedure to test that BOV while I have it off? 4. I'd appreciate suggestions on other things I might check/replace while I'm going in. Thanks. Just needed a little hand-holding ![]() |
