Default auto transmission issue

i put a new motor and transmission in my car from japan. the motor was perfect but the transmission wouldnt do anything. put it any gear and it didnt do anything so i pulled it out and put a different transmission and torque converter in it. still did the same thing. i just put another transmission and still nothing. im thinking im on a string of bad luck but if you have any ideas let me know.

A few quick ideas and I'm not trying to sound like some smart a$$.

1. Check the fluid level and if it has a filter installed.

2. Make sure the linkage is installed between the transmission and the shifter.

3. Is the driveshaft connected

4. Make sure the engine flywheel is connected to the torque converter
