Default What is this wire for?

I have broken a connector on a wire near the thermostat. Please see the attached pictures. Can anyone tell me what this wire is for, what errors it may cause and what the part number is for replacement. I have not been able to find it in any of the engine diagrams. The item is mared with two bands of green tape in the images.

Looks like the plug in for the temperature sensor. If indeed that is what it is, it's for your temp gauge on your dash. The Temp Gauge let's you know the temperature of your engine. You don't want an overheated 7M or a BHG.

That's the Cold Start Injector Time Switch part # 89462-2002 that doesn’t include the electrical plug though.

Sounds like something to fix, but not doing so immediately should not result in catastrophic failure :-)
