Finally putting things back together.
I've read the timing belt is directional, and facing the engine turns clockwise from left to right, but my new (from Toyota) belt doesn't have any arrows on it. Looking at the belt there's Totota labelling, then to the right of that there's the part number, and then to the right of that there's 5 vertical lines. Should the words be readable as you face the engine from the front? If so, then the 5 vertical lines would indicate the belt turns in a clockwise direction. Anyone put a belt on recently? Would appreciate you're checking me on this. Thanks |
