Cannot build up boost :(
Hi.
I have this strange problem, I cannot raise boost past 0,9-1 bar. It just doesn't build up. It is not hitting fuel cut. I do have a manual boost controller, from Forge, to help me increase boost. I tried also to fully close the vacuum line to the weastgate, but boost still doesn't build up. Any ideeas? Thanks .

Sounds like it could be a number of things going wrong. First I would look into your boost controller, make sure its setup right with the ECU.
To answer your other question, I would go as far as 15 lbs PSI max on the stock CT26 turbo. Anything more then that and you get into problems. |

i read that 10-11 psi is safe if you are all stock with aftermarket downpipe and exhaust etc
Yea like mahonri said. look into your boost controller first.. and then get back to us. |

I have tryed before to play with this boost controller, and I got till 17-18 PSI before hitting fuel cut.
Now, I have the Lexus AFM upgrade and upgraded injectors, and I tryed to raise boost again. I tryed with the boost controller fully closed, and it raised no more then 13 PSI, with it fully opened I achived even lower boost. I have to mention that when raising to 18 PSI,I didn`t hit the fuel cut, it just don`t raise higher. And I understand that the stock CT26 is able of far more boost than that, am I wrong? I will try to change some more hoses, just in case, but I sure would like to know if indeed the stock CT26 can make more boost, and how much? If I disconect the vacuum hose that goes from the turbo, trough the boost controller to the wastegate, I get the same result of 13 PSI. Don`t you think that it should have raised and raised....?
