Hello all,
First time poster! I have owned my 89 supra turbo since 1996. In the last couple of years I only drive it in the summer. I was driving the car in down town Chicago, and while getting on the off ramp of the highway the car died. I was able to get started again, but I drove only for a few blocks and died again. It did this a few more times. I finally had to have it towed to my house. I know that it could be a lot of different things. I dont have any kind of diognostic equipment. I have not changed the fuel filter recently (3 years ago) I have never changed the fuel pump, or 02 sensor. I did change plugs and wires about 3 years ago. The last time the car had any major work was when I rebuilt the engine(about 3 years ago). Can anybody please try to narrow the possibilities for me please? Thanks in advance. Reece |

i would start with the fuel filter. i had a similar problem with my bonni but that was when i was low on gas and going around a curve the tank had a plastic baffle in it around the fuel pump and it was all busted up. not sure if supras have that baffle or not.

have u checked ur blow off valve. if it is going bad the car would run but after u boost and let off it dies then its ur valve. found that out hard way. i bought a cheap one and had it to loose and it died eveytime. then i closed it all the way like stock and now it runs fine good luck.
