Does anyone know a swap or Mod for break rotors on 87 none turbo? Although I'm making her into a turbo

The only way to get a real difference in braking is to go to a Wilwood or similar upgrade brake kit with larger rotors and suitable-sized calipers & pads. Serious dollars, but other than just getting quality pads and rotors (which will help to some degree) that's about your only option.
Oh, and skip the drilled rotors, from Ebay or anywhere else. Good chance of them cracking long before they're worn out, completely wasting your money. Slotted is up to you, but get quality in any case. Brembo is good at a reasonable price. Cryo rotors are okay, but the science on them really being any better than regular rotors is still questionable. |

Yeah, the drilled rotors may look sexy but they do tend to crack, so I really recommend staying away from them entirely. Additionally, since you're taking away metal when you drill you're reducing the ability of the rotor to deal with heat buildup.
You're much better off with a good set of regular rotors and good pads. Slotted will help braking somewhat in wet conditions and are a viable option as well. But either way quality will make a difference both in braking and in lifespan of use. |
