Custom Exhaust cost help?
Hello. I was planning on getting a custom 3 inch exhaust for 87 turbo. does anyone know what it may aproximately cost? i know different exhaust shops will charge different prices. also does anyone already have one and know the cost? i was thinking of just buying a 3 inch down pipe and then asking a shop to make a custom exhaust from the downpipe back. Or should i get custom downpipe and exhaust too? im thinking of getting a 3 inch resonator and a 3 inch muffler.

I've gotten mine piecemeal. My 935 Motorsports recirc DDP ran me about $250, the Magnaflow 3" hi-flow cat and 3" muffler were about $130. The muffler shop is going to charge me $200 for the pipes and installation, and I haven't got the resonator yet. Call it $600 by the time I'm done, installation and all. That's probably about the lower level of the price spectrum for a decent-to-good quality setup.
You may pay less or more depending on where you get your components from, what brand they are, and how much the shop charges you. There are also plenty of performance kits out there as well you can purchase as a whole, comes with pipe, cat, muffler and sometimes the resonator. Just depends on what your budget is. |
