88 supra turbo Stock Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: va Posts: 14	idle problems I have a 1988 supra turbo 7m gte and it idles about 1400 rpms and when I adjust the idle screw to bring the idle down under 1000 it starts smoking. It seems to be white smoke. The smoke stops when I jump the idle back up. What should the idle be and is this normally. I bought the car about 2 weeks ago and the guy i bought it off of says the motor is stock and he rebuilt it and only has 8000 miles on the rebuilt. Im just a newbie at this so any help would be great. By the way the engine codes are 51 and 71.
