Default Transmission swap price?

I posted this earlier in the Buy/Sell forum, but I guess that was a dumb idea.

There's a 1991 Supra for sale near me, runs fine, twin turbo'd, and... automatic.

I think I can get it for around $2500, but I wouldn't like it unless I changed it to a manual transmission. Any idea how much such a project may cost?

If it's reasonable, I think I may buy up the car and store it until I get the MT put in.

Do you have any idea what the engine code is on that car? I.e. 7MGTE, 1JZGTE, 1GGTE, etc...

Also I'd say use the "search" feature. There are quite a few threads talking about auto to manual swaps, and you won't get many responses unless you have a specific question about it. Cost all depends on where you live, if you by new or used parts, things like that. There's another recent post that includes alot of the major parts you'll need for the swap, so I'd say start there and find prices for them from where you plan on buying the parts from.
